I have worked on a variety of marine biology research projects across the UK, especially in Scotland. In particular, I have experience in:
Some Fieldwork Highlights:
In June 2017, I worked with SMRU to deploy telemetry tags on grey seals in the Monach Isles, Outer Hebrides.
In September 2016, we (NMS & APEM) surveyed 98 lagoons and possible lagoons in North and South Uist and Benbecula.
In April 2017, I worked with SMRU to deploy telemetry tags on harbour seals as part of the Harbour Seal Decline Project.
In November 2016, I surveyed lagoons with NMS and supervised an undergraduate student project from Heriot-Watt University.
In June 2013, I worked with SMRU to conduct boat-based playback trials of deterrent sounds to tagged harbour seals.
In May 2016, I surveyed eight lagoons in north-west Scotland with National Museums Scotland (NMS).
In July 2013, I worked with SMRU on a passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) trial in Corryvreckan and Sound of Islay.
Volunteering for HWDT, I undertook boat-based surveys across the Inner and Outer Hebrides.
