About Me

I'm a marine biologist and statistical ecologist based in Fife, Scotland.

I'm currently a final year PhD student at the University of St Andrews, investigating seal movement behaviour around marine renewable energy developments. My current research uses tracking data from biologging devices to explore and quantify the responses of animals to potential human disturbance, using statistical modelling and coding in R.

I grew up in Edinburgh, before coming to St Andrews in 2010 to study for an undergraduate degree in Marine Biology. Since then, I have finished a Master's in Marine Mammal Science, completed a one-year studentship at The Conservation Volunteers and National Museums Scotland, and gained a variety of experience in research, fieldwork, teaching and public engagement.

If you would like to get in touch, please drop me an email.
